The Dolphin Hotel is a pub on the Barbican in Plymouth, England, notable as the setting of several of the artist Beryl Cook's paintings. It is a no-frills unmodernised pub known for its cask ale, draught Bass served straight from the barrel.

The pub also provided the setting for the BBC's poorly reviewed animated comedy series Bosom Pals, which was based around some of the characters in Cook's paintings and featured the voices of Dawn French as the lead character Stella, Alison Steadman as her best friend Joan, and Timothy Spall as the Dolphin's real-life landlord Billy Holmes

This seafront pub used to be known as the Deer Leap before becoming part of the Hungry Horse chain and being renamed as the Bath House.

The common practice of holding inquests in public houses applied to the Globe with the first recorded inquest in March 1859 when 76 year old Elizabeth Stump's death by accidental burning was recorded. Probably the most poignant inquest was in August 1860 when two 14 year old boys, William Bull and Frederick Channing in the employ of Mr Mason at the brickworks, became trapped in the mud at the bottom of a 5 ft deep pool at the works and drowned. There were other inquests, of which, the last recorded was in 1880 when Florence May, nine months old, died of measles.

This is an excellent pub, popular with students but still bustling outside term time. Arranged on 3 floors with loads of wood and candle light - this places has bags of atmosphere. There is often live music on the ground floor, a beer garden completes the experience. Wine and beer is very reasonably priced. The food here is recommended, especially the pizzas - very cheap and cheerful.
