The sixteenth century Nobody Inn is set in rolling Devon countryside between the Haldon Hills and the Teign Valley about six miles to the south-west of Exeter. Although modern history of the Inn can be traced back to 1591 it was not until two hundred years later that it became the New Inn and another one hundred and sixty before it was renamed The No Body Inn with reference to an unfortunate episode concerning a deceased landlord.
