Up until the 1950′s the Locomotive was one of Exeter’s last cider only pubs. It still specialised heavily in cider in the 1970′s when I drank there under the industrial glare of the florescent tubes that illuminated the bar at that time. I seem remember the cider was something like 8 pence for a half, and 15p for a pint.
